Pear & Peacock strives to lessen its impact on the environment. Phil Barbato

Phil Barbato. I love making creatures that bring people joy - ugly, cute, fuzzy, cuddly, bite-size joy in a squishy package they can cherish forever. I work within constraints of my own design (repeatable shapes, fabrics that are easy to work with, manageable sizes) so I can explore relationships in color and texture, and still produce efficiently. I enjoy pushing contrasts, trying new materials, and challenging a gender role or two along the way. When something I've made makes me happy (deep, guttural, warm bubbles happy) and I can't explain exactly why it does, I know I've done it right.
